During the lecture (for internal-mode offerings of this course) a number of overheads are displayed and the lecture is a commentary based upon the content of each of the slides. Apart from some slides produced locally, the actual slides cannot be displayed here because of copyright. Equivalent diagrams can be found in the text and the two books on the recommended reading list. For this lecture, most relevant diagrams are found in Ladefoged or Clark and Yallop.
