Practice Words for IPA Transcription
The following nonsense words have been provided as samples of the IPA sounds used in the context of other IPA sounds. You should listen carefully to these words and try to hear the individual sounds in each word. Compare what you hear with the same sounds in the vowel and consonant tables. The only symbols used in these word lists are the symbols shown in red in the IPA tables.
