Information for Students

We are pleased to announce two special offers available only to student authors! To apply for consideration for either prize or scholarship, authors should indicate their interest on the submission form. See the submission page for more detailed instructions.

Student Paper Prizes

We will be awarding three $500 prizes to the top three student authors! To qualify for this competition, the student must satisfy the following conditions:
  • The student must be the first named author on an accepted 4-page paper submission. Authors of 1-page abstracts are not eligible to compete.
  • The student must be present at the conference.
  • The student must give the oral presentation during the meeting.
The prize winners will be based on the quality of both the paper and the corresponding oral presentation.

Prizes generously donated by The Hearing CRC, Oticon, and Appen Butler Hill!

Student Registration Scholarships

Up to ten students will receive a scholarship of $220 each towards payment of their conference registrations. If the student's registration fees exceed $220, full payment of the remaining fees are still required. Information regarding registration fees can be found here.

After notifications of acceptance are released, student authors who indicated their interest in competing for a registration scholarship will be sent a very brief application to fill out and submit to the organizational committee. Applicants will be informed of the committee's decision by 16 August 2012.
